Legend Tripping books for Christmas

Hey Legend Trippers, with holiday season upon us, some of you  are wondering what to would make a great gift for a legend tipper. There are a great selection of books that make excellent gifts and something to ask Santa for.  Here is a list of books that I find are great for legend tripping, monster hunting and ghost hunting.

“The Monsters of” series. There are currently ten books in the series all written by great authors like Loren Coleman, Linda Godfrey, and Troy Taylor. These books are great for all ages. They can be purchased on Amazon at

Another excellent series of books are the “Weird US” series. They feature the same authors. They are currently thirty two books in the series and now available in paperback. These books have some awesome illustrations. They an be purchased on Amazon at Weird US series

Mysterious America by Loren Coleman is the book that set me on my legend tripping passion. Loren keeps the book updated and is a must for all legend trippers. This excellent book and my favorite can be purchased at Mysterious America

A great Christmas gift for a Bigfoot hunter is Dr. Jeff Meldrum’s Sasquatch Field Guide. It is a waterproof pamphlet to take out to the field with you. It shows you how to make castings and what to look for searching for the large cryptid. It can be purchased at Sasquatch-Field-Guide

Jeff Belanger’s “Picture Yourself Legend Tripping” is the start guide on the subject. Jeff covers basically all the different kind of legends and it also comes with an excellent DVD. You can purchase it at Picture Yourself Legend Tripping

I want to mention these two books because they are my favorite are “The Beast of Boggy Creek” and “Lizardman: the story of the Bishopville Monster”, both written by Lyle Blackburn. They are excellent reading and I highly recommend them to all legend trippers. They can both be purchased at Monstro Bizarro cryptid shop

When it comes to legend tripping fiction, there is book series I want to mention. It is called the Event series by David Lynn Golemon. They are a combination Clive Cussler and X-files. They are exciting and hard to put down. There are currently eight in the series and on the New York Times best seller list. They can be purchased on Amazon at Event series books
