Legend Tripping museums for Halloween!

Hey Legend Trippers, if you are looking for a great place to go this Halloween, then I recommend two really neat places to visit. The first one is the International Cryptozoology Museum. Located in the beautiful town of Portland, Maine, it is run by world famous cryptozoologist and author Loren Coleman. He and the museum have been featured numerous times on television, the most recent being “Mysteries of the Museum" on the Travel Channel. The museum features the largest collection of cryptid (an undiscovered animal) related items in the world and also features the Bigfoot figure from our episode on ABC’s Wife Swap. Here is an excellent article on the museum at http://www.atlasobscura.com/places/international-cryptozoology-museum

The admission price is as follows:
Children (kids 12 and below) = $5.00 each

Adults (13 and older) = $7.00 each
The museums hours of operation are as follows: Open:
Mondays ~ Noon to 4 PM (Last Admission 3:30 PM)
Open: Wednesdays through Saturdays ~ 11 AM to 4 PM (Last Admission 3:30 PM)
Open: Sundays ~ Noon to 3:30 PM (Last Admission 3:00 PM)
Closed: Tuesdays

There is also a really neat place to visit if you are ever in Austin Texas called the Museum of the Weird. It has a collection of both movie monster stuff and cryptozoology. In fact, the museum is the home of the “once thought lost” Minnesota Iceman. This strange Bigfoot like figure is frozen in ice was toured around carnivals during the sixites and seventies and now it resides at the Museum of the Weird for all to see. The museum has an awesome gift shop and is a must for all legend trippers traveling in Texas.

Admission is absolutely free to enter the gift shop; entrance to the museum is only $8 for adults, $5 for kids under 8.  Senior citizen, student, and military discounts are available as well.
Museum Admission + Minnesota Iceman Exhibit: $12 Adults, $7 Kids under 8
Hour of operation are as follows: 10:00 am to Midnight (Open Daily)
